Contribute to the DSpace Development Fund
The newly established DSpace Development Fund supports the development of new features prioritized by DSpace Governance. For a list of planned features see the fund wiki page.
- Goal 1: Increase participation in final DSpace 7 work
- Goal 2: Identify and promote endorsing institutions
- Goal 3: Early majority: get existing DSpace installations to upgrade
- Goal 4: Get non-DSpace users to adopt DSpace 7 / Grow DSpace installation base
- Goal 5: Get the late majority and laggard DSpace institutions to upgrade to DSpace 7

The marketing goals for future releases of DSpace 7.x will continue to be the Goals labeled 1-5 above.
Subcommittee work will ensure that these goals are achieved and report to the main DSpace Marketing and Interest Group. Please take a look at the working subcommittees to be formed in January 2022:
Group 1: Will work on general DSpace marketing- what is DSpace, features of DSpace, review website, wikipedia etc.
This will help us increase promotion and help increase DSpace usage. (Goals 1, 2, 3, 4,5)
Group 2: Will work on Videos and features: this group will create videos and a template for DSpace users to create generic videos showcasing features. *Work with DCAT on perhaps the Technical Group on videos or documentation to encourage DSpace 7 usage and upgrades (Goals 1, 3, 4, 5)
Group 3: Will work on DSpace in a box: getting started, checklists for training, resource guide-- for new and current users (Goals 1, 3, 4, 5)
Group 4: Will translate marketing materials, announcements etc for Global usage of DSpace.
