Fedora 3.7.1 Release Notes

Release Date: 29 October 2013

The Fedora 3.7.1 release addresses a critical vulnerability. It is highly recommended that all users of the 3.x series upgrade to 3.7.1.

Contributors

The Fedora Commons project would not be possible without the support of its community. In particular, this release is indebted to the following individuals and institutions for contributions:

  • Benjamin Armintor, Columbia University
  • Mike Durbin, University of Virginia
  • Scott Prater, University of Wisconsin

Special Note

Fedora 3.7.1 introduces a new table to the backing database: fcrepoRebuildStatus. This table will be populated automatically on installations from the installer, but will be absent if the 3.7.1 jars are simply "dropped in" to an existing, unpacked web app.  If that is the upgrade procedure required, this table must either be created externally to Fedora following the dbspec, or Fedora must be restarted with the filesystem flag indicating non-new installs removed. The latter will result in the removal and re-ingest of the 4 core Fedora system objects.
