Minutes

Islandora

Work on migration utils: Working again on this after some time off. No significant update. Still wrapping head around camel related stuff.

Work on modeling: No significant updates.

VM:  No significant updates.

Fedora Interest Group meeting on 3/27. Folks welcome to attend.

3.8.1-snapshot update work has not happened yet.

4.1.1.RC release testing work.

Only one issue, but it wasn’t a deal breaker. "One click run" built on Windows won’t run on a Windows apparently. Since not a critical use case, and the version will be built on Linux anyway, we can continue.

Mike expects to be done with all the aspects of the release today. E-mail with release notes will be sent by Mike or David.

3.x bug discussion

http://fedora-commons.1317035.n2.nabble.com/fcrepo-user-Checksum-Mismatch-error-with-Fedora-3-5-using-PHP-soapclient-td7578096.html

Appears to affect exports and foxml imports.

Adam has not seen this bug. Adam thinks it affects only one serialization format. “Use the format that works”, is one workaround.

People on the call think it's interesting – not sure why no one noticed it. Perhaps, it's a regression?

Mike, Adam not sure if it’s worth fixing. But it would be nice to get the API working, instead of people relying directly on the filesystem.

Leave for now and see if use cases pop up. There are no objections.

3.8.1. on java 8

Doron offers Benjamin help test 3.8 on Java 8.

Modeling

David: Great modeling work this week. Suggests taking a look at portland data modeling work discussed at the conference.
