We have been using Fedora with a custom front-end since 2009 for the 'York Digital Library', our multimedia repository. We are now in the process of migrating to Fedora 4 and Hydra. Having served for a year on the Leadership Group, I welcome the opportunity to continue. As I said last year, this is a fantastic chance for me to learn more about Fedora and to influence it's future direction, and to represent the needs of smaller institutions and those in the UK and Europe. |

| Sandy Payette | Cornell University Library | Director of Land Grant and Research IT | As the original founder of the Fedora project and DuraSpace, I am pleased to see how the community has taken ownership of Fedora and has evolved it to address many key issues that the international community discovered together. The Fedora4 initiative is great in terms of positioning Fedora for the next generation of technological challenges for repositories such as high performance/scale and the integration of repositories with the world of open-linked data. The ability to manage research data has always been an interest of mine and it’s great to see how far the community has come with this in Fedora4 I'm also interested in working on how to get the Fedora 3 community motivated to migrate to the new Fedora. My new position at Cornell University Library presents a new context for me to re-engage with Fedora from the other side (i.e., community sponsor), but my deep history in the Fedora architecture and the open source community's Fedora aspirations will enable me to contribute from multiple perspectives. At Cornell we have multiple DuraSpace-related projects that are leveraging Fedora, DSpace, Hydra, and VIVO. I look forward to an opportunity to join “with a new “hat” - Cornell University Library. I am also interested in the discussions that are emerging around the integration of Fedora/VIVO. |

| Chris Awre | University of Hull | Head of Information Management | I have been working with Fedora for over 10 years now, and have managed our local instance, a repository for the institution that holds multiple content types, since it went live in 2008. I have also been co-chair of the Fedora UK&I User Group over that time. We remain a Fedora 3 site, but with a close and developing interest in migrating to Fedora 4, and am keen to ensure that the routes available are presented well and can be used widely. I am a member of the Hydra Steering Group and recognise the need to continue to invest in Fedora to underpin Hydra repository solutions. To that end, I am interested in how Fedora can benefit from the proposed merge of DuraSpace with Lyrasis. My main repository focus of attention is research data and the embedding of preservation with Fedora through use of external tools such as Archivematica. |

| Dan Santamaria | Tufts University | Director of Digital Collections and Archives | Tufts has a decade long history with Fedora. As a medium size shop with medium size resources, we have a relatively unique position in the community. I served on the leadership group last year and should have time to make more substantial contributions in the future due to the additional staff we’ve brought on at Tufts. I’m director of Digital Collections and Archives at Tufts and have fiscal and staffing responsibility. My background is in the archives community (I’ve served as chair of SAA’s Standards Committee, among other roles) and I think it would be valuable to have someone from the archives community represented on the leadership group, particularly as the LYRASIS/Duraspace merger progresses and we potentially (hopefully) explore relationships between tools like ArchivesSpace and Fedora. |
