StoryThe content modelling architecture of Fedora is one of its farthest-reaching and most powerful facilities, but its implementation uses configuration and languages completely specific to Fedora. Switching to widely-used languages like RDFS and OWL would allow quick reuse of communally-held ontologies and knowledge-integration with the wider Web, as well as massively decreasing the amount of effort and expertise it would take to do content modelling in Fedora.
