To setup the MySQL Database for Fedora...

 Assuming MySQL database software is currently installed, execute the following:
 

# mysql -u root -p
Enter password:

Welcome to the MySQL monitor.  Commands end with ; or \g.

mysql> create database fedora3;

mysql> create user 'fedoraAdmin'@'%' identified by 'password';

mysql> grant all on fedora3.* to 'fedoraAdmin'@'%';
Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.00 sec)

mysql> alter database fedora3 default character set utf8;
Query OK, 1 row affected (0.01 sec)

mysql> alter database fedora3 default collate utf8_bin;
Query OK, 1 row affected (0.00 sec)

mysql> flush privileges;
