Upgrade Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and prior to 14.04 LTS, and well as Java JDK 7 and prior to Java 8

Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and Java JDK 8 are requirements for Fedora 3.8.1, so you might as well do the upgrades and test the whole software stack while still on Fedora 3.7.0.

# $FEDORA_HOME/tomcat/bin/shutdown.sh
# /etc/init.d/apache2 stop

• Follow this link to upgrade Ubuntu 12.04 LTS and prior to 14.04 LTS.
• After the upgrade you probably need to uninstall apache and install it again, to ensure all new components go in the correct place.

• Follow this link to upgrade Java JDK 7 and prior to Java 8 (from Oracle) or OpenJDK 8.

  # $FEDORA_HOME/tomcat/bin/startup.sh
  # /etc/init.d/apache2 start
  

Proceed to test your upgrade by accessing your Drupal/Islandora webpage, and go through the testing procedure of each milestone.

Troubleshooting:

• The requested URL /drupal/admin/content was not found on this server.
• The requested URL /node was not found on this server

• What is misconfigured when Drupal homepage works ok, but all links fail?

• Run update.php
