More news

  1. We had five new sites in October.  One of our best months ever.  The new Duraspace Registry is much easier to navigate, and much easier to join. See https://duraspace.org/registry/?filter_10=VIVO.  See full monthly tracking data here (updated on the first of every month) https://wiki.duraspace.org/download/attachments/101781010/tracking.pdf?version=1&modificationDate=1541116992121&api=v2
  2. David Wilcox of Duraspace has joined the VIVO Membership Task Force to provide guidance and support.
  3. An RDA workgroup recommendation includes VIVO as a means for representing attribution data.  See the workgroup report here.http://bit.ly/2Dra5SF
  4. Camp at Columbia had six participants.  Our costs were low – Columbia provided space and refreshments. Travel costs for instructors were low due to location and support of Clarivate.
  5. Mike attended the Metadata for Machines workshop at GoFAIR headquarters in Leiden.  The group is working to incorporate FAIR metadata into standard processes in scholarship.  A pilot has been started to use VIVO, CEDAR, and a DMP tool to provide a simple workflow for the submission of grants.  VIVO will partner with several groups on the pilot.
