JIRA

• Mike has been through all of them twice - trying to figure out if they are relevant, should they be open
• Every issue has been put into a component - e.g. everything related to Solr is in the "solr" component
• Several components have been added - data management (e.g. creating sample files, SPARQL queries, etc.), developer support (improving development tooling), 
• Mike wants to combine some components - e.g. custom forms, N3 editing
• All priorities that were "blocker" have been reclassified.
• Redundant components - bug fixes (should use the JIRA type), documentation (use type)
• Version - "post 1.8.1" needs to be removed, reclassify to proper version targets (135 issues affected).
• Removing assignees - many are historical
• Components - remove leads.  We can come back to this idea in the future

VIVO 1.10

• Release candidate before the conference, release after the conference
• Only blocking issue currently is the ORCiD API v2 upgrade

RDF/RDFS ontologies

• We want to be able to use ontologies without having to change them.  Currently, VIVO/Vitro requires that ontologies indicate which properties are owl:DataProperty and which are owl:ObjectProperty.  If an ontology does not have these assertions, they have been added in the VIVO implementations of these ontologies.
• And we currently add application control ontology assertions to indicate how we would like ontology elements handled.
• bibframe, etc. 
• Skos, DCTERMS
• Defined as RDF classes/properties not OWL classes/properties
• Workaround - add OWL classes and properties
• Brian Lowe - at the time, Jena relied on OWL
• Can the software do something reasonable when a property is neither owl:DataProperty nor owl:Object Property?

Action Items

• Contact each component lead and ask them if they wish to continue/ mind being removed.  Mike Conlon 
• Combine Custom Forms and N3 Editing Framework as "Custom Forms" Mike Conlon
• Remove Bug Fixes component.  Use Bug type. Mike Conlon
• Remove Documentation component.  Use Documentation type Mike Conlon
• Remove "post 1.8.1" version.  Assign to versions if the work is being done in that version.  Blank if no version.  Mike Conlon
• Combine Page Mgt Framework and Freemarker Template Framework.  Result is called "Freemarker Template Framework" Mike Conlon
• Add descriptions to each component Mike Conlon
