Data sources for VIVO at UF are listed below.
- CVs – the UF library enters some fields from CVs manually for some faculty.
- Self-Edit – UF has self-editing turned on. Every faculty member and staff member can edit their own profile information. Some insitutional information is restricted from editing.
- Org structure – top level org structure (UF so-called "digit structure" corresponding to the first two digits in a PeopleSoft deptid at UF) is hand-curated. UF is moving to automated ingest of org structure for departments, divisions, centers, institutes and other sub-structure based on 4-digit structure in PeopleSoft and an exception list.
- People – ingest from PeopleSoft. Titles, contact information, department, title. Will develop Harvester processes for PeopleSoft ingest.

- Publications, PubMed – ingest from PubMed using Harvester.
