With regard to this topic, in DSpace-CRIS there is already a deduplication feature (Deduplication)

For the documentation group, Virginia Tech has a new video, "Searching for Electronic Theses and Dissertations in VTechWorks." It is based on DSpace 5 with XMLUI.
