  • Register an email for Crossref OpenURL. This requires registering, but there's no password later.  As of Fall 2017, there is no fee or cap on usage.  When you register, Crossref says they use this for tracking errors and that kind of thing.
  • Enter Click the Use legacy API (Crossref OpenURL) box and enter your email that you registered with Crossref in the setting for "OpenURL PID", and click to "Save configuration".
