Our annual membership campaign is underway. I want to thank you in advance for your continued support of DuraSpace. Our current members should have received renewal invoices. If you have not received your renewal invoice or if it is at all possible for your institution to increase your financial commitment this year, please contact Valorie Hollister <vhollister@duraspace.org>. I'm pleased to report that we have reached 77% of our overall goal with contributions totaling $843,000 in one month. FROM VAL: While we have invoiced for this amount I wouldn't say this will what we will get - especially this year. I would suggest not quoting any stats until June.

Last but not least, we are pleased to repot that the first 2webinars of the series we are organizing with Google Scholarwere very well attended. We had over 100 participants in both Brazil and Peru (with over 400 registrants in Brazil) and great engagement. Slides and recording are available in the WIKI pages of the Brazilian and the Peruvian DSpace User Groups. Thanks to the support and collaboration of LA Referencia we had the opportunity to meet all the Latin American National Nodes and present them the webinar structure and the value of the national User Groups. We will continue to organize national webinars, in June for Argentina and Germany, then we're planning the ones in Ghana, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Mexico. Feel free to contact us if you're interested in collaborating with us to organize one for your country too.
