  • Claiming of publications by both DOI and PubMed ID.  Users can add publications to their profiles by logging on to self-edit, clicking a claiming link, and entering either DOI DOIs or PubMed IDs.  Data regarding the publications is added to VIVO and displayed on the user's profile.
  • Externalized search index.  Solr is now used by VIVO and Vitro as a free-standing application, much as Tomcat is, rather than being part of the VIVO and Vitro applications.  This allows VIVO to use the most recent versions of Solr, and positions VIVO for use of with other search indices, such as ElasticSearch, in the future.
  • A Docker implementation of VIVO is provided.  The Docker version of VIVO can be used for rapid installation and evaluation.  It contains a complete VIVO environment, including Tomcat, Solr, and MariaDB.
  • Triple Pattern Fragments (TPF) is now optional. A runtime property controls whether TPF is available. 

  • Improvements in internationalization, including improved documentation and the inclusion of German language translation in the VIVO and Vitro repositories
  • Improvements in the ORCiD integration including explicit support for both member and public APIs.
  • 25 bugs have been fixed, documentation has been improved.
