The determination of appropriate projects is a collaborative effort between those community members (preferably developers) and students (preferably computer science students or adepts). We highly recommend that prospective students join in to the appropriate IRC channel and list-servs mailing lists and discuss project ideas for project with the community prior to submitting a proposal. See the GSOC Information page (in "GSOC Project Available" section above) for a given DuraSpace technology for links to that technology's IRC channel(s) and mailing list(s).
