Release Notes / Significant Changes

DSpace 7.1 primarily added new features and bug fixes on top of 7.0.  See the Release Notes for all the details.  A few key changes to be aware of:

  • New Entity Type to Collection Configuration: If you were using Configurable Entities in 7.0, the Entity Type to Collection "mapping" has been moved to the Collection's "Edit Metadata" screen as a new "Entity Type" dropdown.  This formalizes the recommended mapping between a Collection and an Entity Type (so we highly recommend each Entity Type be stored in its own Collection).  See the "Configuration of Community/Collection List for Entity Types" section of the Configurable Entities documentation for more details.
