Each DuraSpace project has a governance model. This representative, community-based model includes several governing groups with various levels of responsibility (identifying project strategic direction, setting project roadmap, establishing project budget, etc.). Eligibility to serve in project governance is determined by participation in the DuraSpace Membership Program, incrementally enabling member organizations who have made the greatest commitments (financial or in-kind staff commitments) to the project. It is NOT TOO LATE to become a Member and participate in the Fedora project governance! Leadership Group 

The Leadership Group is made up of members that contribute over $20,000 annually to the project, along with representatives from institutions contributing at least 0.5 FTE in-kind developers, or a combination of financial and in-kind resources. Members that contribute at lower levels can also be elected to serve on the leadership group. The Leadership Group approves the overall priorities and strategic direction of the project by:
