DC Area Fedora User Group Meeting

The next DC Area Fedora User Group Meeting [26] will take place on September 22-23 at the USDA National Agriculture Agricultural Library. Please register in advance [27] - the event is free to attend. The meeting on September 22 will feature presentations and discussions on topics selected by members of the DC area Fedora community. The workshop on September 23 will focus on Fedora 4 but we are still looking for feedback on particular areas of interest. Please use the registration form to suggest topics for the workshop.

The 13th International Conference on Digital Preservation (iPRES) [30] will take place in Bern, Switzerland from October 3-6, 2016. iPRES is the longest standing digital preservation conference in the world. This important event brings together key theorists, researchers and practitioners to explore the latest trends, innovations, policies and practices in digital preservation. An introductory Fedora 4 tutorial [31] will be offered on October 6, and a Fedora User Group Meeting [32] will take place on October 7. Please register in advance for the tutorial and user group meeting.

South Central States Fedora Users Group Meeting

The first annual meeting [35] of the South Central States Fedora Users Group took place July 18-19 in Norman, OK. The meeting included conversations regarding current implementations, work underway at peer institutions, discussion for users considering the tool, and a Fedora workshop led by Andrew Woods.
