There are a variety of ways to install Islandora 2.0, but a best-practice recommended by the Islandora developer community is to use ISLE, which is Islandora for Enterprise. It is a packaged, Docker-based version of the software that can be installed as a bundle rather than installing all the components individually. This makes the installation easier to manage and upgrade in the future. ISLE is generally recommended unless you have a good reason not to use it.
ISLE can be installed in both local and cloud environments. To install, follow instructions detailed in the ISLE documentation.

Based on the current level of documentation, community support, features, and extensibility, we recommend using Islandora Workbench for most use cases.
