Agenda

Notes

  1. Conference in Spain - confirmed. Will be held from 14th to 16th June at the University of Vigo
  2. Docker issue in documentation. Need some synchronization regarding using VIVO with Docker. With a problem from here: https://groups.google.com/g/vivo-tech/c/yAOHcsJg8ro potential solution is to create docker_network
Maxim: there’s a problem with mounting a volume and with an index being deleted after closing a docker container.
  3. Discussion on a slack about the way to upgrade from 1.10 to 1.13 (shouldn’t be any problems).
Maxim: if you want to upgrade from 1.09 to 1.13, all you have to do is to update the database to 1.10 and then you can upgrade to 1.13 without any significant changes.
  4. Maxim: if I copy a theme and switch to this theme, then all the translations and tags would be gone.
There could be a problem with the VIVO version somewhere in maven being 1.13.1 and since, we also have only released 1.13.0, there could be version collision.
    1. Georgy: the problem might be because of translations - we don’t have the generic translation. Solution: copy the translation into theme and substitute the data-property:theme.
    2. Dragan: change theme name in a translation .ttl file (prop:hasTheme).
  5. Ideas from the community, what are important in future releases of VIVO. Thoughts and ideas from the community are welcomed.
    GDPR:
    1. Brian: since VIVO is gathering information from lots of open-sources, deleting user-regarding information from its database might mean that in the future gathering of information will appear again. That’s why there could be complications at the start.
    2. Chris: there probably has to be a person (system administrator), that has more access legally written in law-documents. You have to be responsible for the data-sources you’re providing your access to.
