VIVO 1.15.0 open PRs
Captcha - https://github.com/vivo-project/Vitro/pull/427
No changes, Georgy will review the PR.
I forgot my password - https://github.com/vivo-project/Vitro/pull/421
William provided a suggestion for configuration of “I forgot my password”. The second configuration option (“user request password change and admin approve the request”) won’t be supported within this PR. Later, if this is requested from some VIVO customer(s), we might support this in a new PR.
Avoid lock on graph uri update in RdfServiceSparql - https://github.com/vivo-project/Vitro/pull/424
No changes, Brian will review the PR.
Individual access objects - https://github.com/vivo-project/Vitro/pull/433
No changes, but Georgy thinks UI options should be improved (which won’t require restarting tomcat after changing policies).
Search sort options - https://github.com/vivo-project/Vitro/pull/431, https://github.com/vivo-project/VIVO/pull/3928
Dragan should organize validation of i18n messages by members of VIVO community.
Wiki documentation
No progress. Dragan will work on this.
VIVO as a graph storage
Brian thinks it is not a good idea to turn off the search engine, because in some future VIVO release some of the basic browsing features might be based on search engine indexes. Therefore, part of the VIVO is a search engine (Apache Solr). However, it would be nice that more control over indexing process (and generally all listeners) should be offered through configuration or ideally through UI.
WSL2 - https://github.com/vivo-community/create-wsl2-vivo-dev-env
Ralph created a new project. Dragan will contact Ralph to find more about context of this project.
Access to VIVO 1.14.x Documentation
Benjamin found an issue with access to VIVO 1.14. Documentation. Dragan fixed that. Brian suggested considering enabling anonymous users to comment on VIVO documentation pages. Georgy suggested checking this with Lyrasis officers related to the responsibility of the content in those comments (in the case there is a spam). Dragan will discuss this with the Lyrasis team.
