The repository of MyInstitution has a large number of metadata-only records as items in the repository. These items were curated by staff who did not (yet) get a hold of the corresponding (open access) bitstream to go with these items. However, a durable link has been made between at least one of the authors on the record and an active institutional staff record.

Based on this link, an automated email goes out to the linked staff member, asking to send back the corresponding file attached to the email.

The response to the email, containing the attached file, will be automatically processed and the file will be attached as an archived bitstream to the already existing item as a result.
