Overview

A framework to facilitate the population of XML forms during the usual ingest workflow. When an object is being an ingested, a page will be added as part of the ingest process that will provide the option to use the populator.

Populator options include:

• DOI Populator
• EndNote Populator
• PMID Populator
• RIS.Populator
• Islandora XSLT Populator (settings at /admin/islandora/tools/xslt_populator )

Installation

Install as usual, see this for further information.

Configuration

Restrict to certain content models in in Administration » Islandora » Populator Configuration (admin/islandora/populator). This will remove the ingest step from content models not selected.

Configuring DOI Populator

• Click to: Home » Administration » Islandora » Solution pack configuration » Scholar » DOI Configuration (admin/islandora/solution_pack_config/scholar/islandora_doi)
• Register an email for Crossref OpenURL. This requires registering, but there's no password later.  As of Fall 2017, there is no fee or cap on usage.  When you register, Crossref says they use this for tracking errors and that kind of thing.
• Click the "Use legacy API (Crossref OpenURL)" box and enter the email you registered with Crossref in the setting for "OpenURL PID", and click "Save configuration".
