If you're interested in a simple way to look at messages by fedora you can use the attached python script. 

Step 1: setup python dependencies

pip install stomp.py

Step 2: run fedora

java -jar fcrepo-webapp-{fcrepo-version}-jetty-console.jar

Step 3:  run self-executing listener.py script

python listener.py
