DSpace XMLUI - Manakin

Manakin (XMLUI) is a web-based user interface to DSpace that introduces a modular interface layer, enabling an institution to easily customize the interface according to the specific needs of the particular repository, community or collection. By modifying the user interface, a repository service can be separated from its implementation. It is often desirable to hide - or at least not highlight - the underlying implementation of the repository from the end user. The ability to separate the user interface of the repository service from its implementation makes it possible to change repository platforms in the future while maintaining a consistent set of functionalities and "look-and-feel."
