  • Stefano Cossu will attempt to reproduce a Tomcat issue with the latest releases.
  • 3.8 Release is coming along nicely
    • a few missing tests need to be performed
    • Scott Prater is assigned them but a few are inapplicable and testers are being sought

  • Fedora 4 Beta 3 release
    • was announced recently and has been disseminated (e-mail, github, wiki, etc.)
    • fixed a bug found by the community immediately after Beta 2 release.
  • Betsy Coleman from University of New Hampshire
    • Got a 3-year IMLS grant to integrate maps (open geoportal) with Fedora (developing a toolkit)
      • Will be stored on file system and accessed via federation
      • Looking for guidance in setting that up
      • Evaluating Hydra vs Islandora for institutional repository
      • Map files are roughtly 350-500MB in testing but may be much bigger.
      • Federation is needed because the files need to be accessed directly by open geo portal (not through a fedora API)
  • Metrics Update
    • a metrics library has been in fedora 4 code base since the early days, but hasn't really be utilized
    • recently there is some more interest in metrics around the usage of the repository, so some work in recent sprints to revive that effort have been undertaken
    • Jared Whiklo has been doing a basic test with graphite and Fedora 4.
      • a little finicky right now, but he's working to ensure that everything that should be captured is.
      • graphite configuration is a little more complex
      • Andrew Woods asked that configuration documentation and such should be put on the wiki and others should test and provide feedback about what should be collected and displayed
  • The PSU migraiton meeting will be later today
    • 3 beta pilots planned

    • move scholarsphere hydra installation to use fedora 4
    • specific questions about versioning, metadata mapping, etc. to highlight any missing needs 
    • Will likely keep up to date with the latest beta versions
  • Andrew Woods will put a ticket in to ensure that clustering for high availability still works with recent betas release
