Minutes

OAI Provider module

• Action Frank: to send out question regarding appropriate namespace and predicates for relationships between objects
• Currently, it would be necessary to manually link oai-dc record to each object
  • Action Frank: to investigate dc-generator for auto-generated-dc suitability
• Will be asking for community testing once these two actions are resolved
• UCSD may be interested in oai-provider

UCSD beta project

• Have implemented all of the client functionality to ingest
• Working through metadata mapping
• In the next month planning on loading a real dataset
• Then plan to ingest all local data
• Code is starting to become public
• Working on developing a shared model

Art Inst. of Chicago

• Have developed a more detailed content model
• Working on batch translation scripts for legacy data
• Using sequencers to generate derivatives
• Using sequencers for metadata extraction
  • Missing some fedora-specific properties on datastreams
