Este PopeAmherst CollegeHead of Digital ProgramsComing from Amherst College, one of my hopes is to help represent the needs and concerns of liberal arts colleges and smaller institutions. I am also interested in developing the roadmap and strategic direction for Fedora. I am excited to work with developers and colleagues to see the next phase of Fedora come to fruition. I started my career as a systems librarian supporting digital repositories and digital library development, and now that I am working with Fedora directly I couldn’t be more pleased. In addition to enjoying the technical aspects of Fedora, I like to think about the ways Fedora and related tools enable users to access digital content and aid in preserving digital content. I’m also interested in how open source software impacts library digital collections and resource allocation. It is professionally gratifying for me to be involved in the Fedora community, and I would be glad to further support the work by serving on the Steering committee. Thank you for your consideration!

Rosalyn MetzEmory UniversityDirector of Library Technology and Digital StrategiesI am the Director of Library Technology and Digital Strategies at Emory University in Atlanta. I lead a diverse cross-functional team at the university to provide support for the library's technology.  Currently the library is embarking on a multi-year effort to implement a Fedora/Samvera based repository.  Ultimately, we seek to preserve content for all of the libraries, archives, and museums on campus. I have been involved in digital repositories and digital preservation in various roles throughout my career -- in operations and infrastructure management, project, product, and service management, and through my work with DPN.  Fedora's extensible architecture and support for linked data make it a key component of digital repositories and digital libraries. Therefore, I believe it is up to us, the cultural heritage institutions that support Fedora, to ensure its long-term stewardship and continued success well into the future.
