Agenda

Notes

  1. Announcements
    1. PR is available for testing and testers have been assigned for issue 3855 (unable to build without existing RDF directory)
    2. Likely that VIVO will be presented at EUNIS23 conference.
    3. TIB SAH Vitro application has nice search filter options.  https://sah.tib.eu/  May want to integrate into the core codebase.  Georgy is not aware of any restrictions on submitting it; might be easily merged.  Still part of Freemarker paradigm; might be better to do through Dynamic API.  Configuration data for filter behavior is in ABox model as opposed to document modifiers, etc. in display model. Also has filters that can always be applied to public view (hide private results).
  2. iText-core vulnerability
    1. Dragan investigated whether it is still necessary.  Issued PR that removes dependency entirely.
  3. VIVO release candidate number 3 testing
    1. Reports of discrepancies between readme and wiki; Dragan will investigate.
    2. Out of memory exceptions when loading filegraph files that total multiple millions of triples still need to be investigated.
  4. Upgrade to Jena 4: should continue between sprints.
  5. Sprint
    1. May 22nd - June 9th 2023
  6. VIVO Conference?
    1. May not be held this year.  There are some ideas for co-locating with other events, perhaps biannually.  Webinars are planned for this year.
  7. Dynamic API Requirements for UI
    1. Georgy: Need ontology of current UI that we can extend.
    2. Dragan: Also should check other systems for inspiration, and check for available solutions that we can reuse.
    3. Dynamic API group will be meeting again next week; anyone can join, and there is opportunity to help with documentation and other elements in addition to coding.
