Overview

Muradora allows users to organise their objects under a folder structure similar to file structure in Operating Systems like Windows, Linux and OS X. A collection is a normal Fedora object which contains this element <rel.isCollection>true</rel.isCollection> in their RDF datastream. A collection can other collections and object. Therefore, it is analogous to the File structure on your computer with collections corresponding to folders and objects corresponding to files. In search and browse interface, a collection is represented by an open folder icon.

Browse collections

Collection can be browsed using "Browse" tab on the horizontal navigation bar. Click on the collection name or its icon to navigate to its sub-collections and child objects. There might be a group of icons on the right hand side of each collection/object in browse view which you can use to view or edit their metadata or permissions. These icons are only visible to users with appropriate access rights.

Create a new collection

To create a new collection, you need to navigate to the collection in which you want the new one to reside in. It is similar to how you create a folder inside Windows Explorer. After that, you can click on "Create collection" link to open a form for creating new collection. In this form, enter the collection's name and click "Submit" to save it to Fedora repository.
