- Mike raised a problem with presentations – what if there are many presentations to add? Mike has about 400 to add to his profile, repository, and CV
- The group discussed figshare:
- creates DOI
- has an open API
- Has a drag and drop interface
- But doesn't ask the questions needed for presentations – when, and where, and invited and/or international (often needed in local reporting scenarios)
- Local repos often don't have these features
- Would need a special web site to collect data from log on, form the material. and from the presenter (always the last resort, keep this to a minimum) that can take the material and put it in a repository (figshre, local, slideshare, other) and/or a CV, and/or a profile system, or a CRIS, or wherever it was needed.
