Notes

Ralph: Working on updating wiki and merged down maintenance and language branches.
Dragan: Version mismatch in pom?
Ralph: Will look into it. Quick release 1.12.1 and 1.12.2-SNAPSHOT. Including test order correction.

William: Do versions have to be in lockstep?
Ralph: Yep. Can change VIVO and Vitro pom files to reference different versions of languages. Decision for 1.13?

William: Do we have a fully functional release now?
Ralph: No. 1.12.1 will be it.

Ralph: Anyone opposed to the latest head to be 1.12.1?

Issues

  1. a.

Dragan: Brief summary of issue reported?
Michel: Problem when after creating a professor and adding a faculty member, when associating a document to a person it creates a duplicate person. No way to assign articles to existing user.

William: Is this a regression or has anybody experienced this in past versions?

Brian: It seems it certainly worked in the past and UI has typeahead to link to existing users.

Ralph: Notice it may take a pause for the typeahead to find a match.

Michel: It is more than that and the first time autocomplete worked and second time it still caused it.

Dragan: Logical and if type first name and last name shows authors and not select existing user. Able to create a user with same first and last name.

William: Bug issue and improved UX?

Brian: Fix bugs and many possible improvements. Additional step to check matching name and confirm same or new.

Georgy: Tried and could create an author and add articles. Have to check if using multiple languages.

Dragan: Allow Georgy to reproduce in multiple languages and update the issue.

William: Side question, have we migrated issues?

Dragan: Will be presenting issue migration and will determine if to proceed with migration.

Brian: If this is a reproducible bug should we get into 1.12.1?

Ralph: Probably not.

Brian: But it is possibly a language regression.

Ralph: We can wait.

Georgy: Can we release 1.12.2 after 1.12.1? How hard is it?

Ralph: Yeah we can and it is not that bad.

Michel: Can we follow Microsoft like SP releases?

William: We could use RC as Maven recognizes them.

Georgy: Could not reproduce with multiple languages but not French.

Brian: Is it trying to filter by language on autocomplete.

William: Could also be the French template not matching functionality of other languages.

Michel: There is a language tag on the person names. Only French tag.

Georgy: Was able to add an article in Deutsch to an English author.

Brian: Test order PR requires merging before 1.12.1 release.

Ralph: Have to get into the maintenance branch for 1.12.1 release.

1.b.

Dragan: How to address the issue from Sarbajit with Fuseki?

Brian: Seems to be an isomorphic check failure that is causing the issue. Could be an encoding mismatch causing comparison to fail. Could be Fuseki changing data causing the comparison check to fail. Will respond on slack to Sarbajit.
