M1 mac issue

Dragan gave instructions to Kshitij on how to install and run the VIVO at his mac machine, with a reminder to inform him about the progress.

CAPTCHA

The team discussed language-related tasks with the CAPTCHA PR, with progress made on German and Portuguese messages. Dragan confirmed that he had contacted Michel and Anna for French and Spanish translations, and that Salm had completed validation of Portuguese messages.

I forgot my password

Ivan will align this PR with CAPTCHA improvements once it is merged in the main branch. Dragan will remind community members to help in validation of UI messages in different languages.

Responsive Wilma theme

Miloš noted that they had removed unused code and suggested reintroducing a feature to save current selections in local storage. Dragan agreed, noting that it would be counterproductive to not reintroduce a feature that had been implemented before.

Dependencies update

Dragan brought up the issue of outdated dependencies and libraries in their system, highlighting potential security vulnerabilities and runtime issues that could arise from updating them. They also emphasized the need to discuss the strategy for updating these libraries, such as whether to focus on the first version without vulnerabilities or to aim for the newest one. The group also discussed a potential update to the JQuery library, noting its inconsistent use across the VIVO platform.

Audit tool

Miloš acknowledged a delay in reviewing the audit tool PR from his side, and said he will give a higher priority to this task.

Once we resolve all these PRs, we should consider publishing a new release candidate.
