GOALS
Goals of the Preservation and Archiving Community include:
- Building the community of stakeholders including, administrators, architects, archivists, data curators, librarians, preservationists, software developers, technologists, etc.
- Establishing an information exchange that covers a broad range of topics including certification of repositories, policies, standards, frameworks, technology and tools, and processes for archiving, preserving and curating. We might start here by providing a list of Fedora-based repositories that provide services for archiving and preservation.
- Based on community input, we may want to consider developing a comprehensive specification for a Fedora-based preservation framework.
