@mire and the DSpace Global Outreach Committee with the support and coordination of DuraSpace, invite all DSpace enthusiasts to this half day DSpace user group meeting on Wednesday, November 10 from 8:30am to 1:00pm in Baltimore Maryland, immediately following the SPARC 2010 Digital Repositories Meeting. The meeting will feature sessions on the upcoming DSpace 1.7 release, both addressed to repository managers and developers. In addition, @mire representatives will introduce @mire's unique offering of services and add-on modules, supporting institutions running their own in-house repository. Many thanks to @mire, a Registered DSpace Service Provider, for sponsoring this meeting.

10.15-11.00: Batch Metadata Editing hand-on Workshop by Maureen Walsh
11.15-12.00: Structured Networking for Repository Managers: Challenges and Ambitions for 2011

Depending on your travel plans, you are invited to hook up with other participants to continue networking at lunch.

Meeting Registration

The meeting is being sponsored by @mire and is free to anyone who wishes to participate. For planning purposes, please be sure to register by October 22, 2010. Send an email with your name and institution to vhollister[at]duraspace.org.

Location and Time

The meeting will be held at the same hotel as the SPARC Conference at the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel in Baltimore Maryland. Specific room location is TBD. The meeting will be on Wednesday, November 10 from 8:30am until 1:00pm.
