Agenda

Meeting Notes

1.6.2 was released, some planning for OR10 meetup, discussion of Services Framework & Code License Headers

  • 1.6.2 was released!
  • GSoC updates
    • One month till midterm. Working to get a weekly or bi-weekly student meeting setup.
  • Discussion of DSpace Services Framework
    • All agree that more concrete, hands-on work will be needed to get real feedback on framework
    • Several mention they will make effort to use Services Framework where it makes sense in upcoming projects
    • Need more clarification on how to use services – best practices, etc.
  • Discussion of DuraSpace proposal for smaller license headers in code
    • General approval. Some concerns that it may need to be run by a lawyer to be 100% sure (although the Fedora license header, which is almost identical, has been run by lawyers at UVA).
    • Richard Rodgers may run by lawyers at MIT, just in case
