Working Groups provide recurring, standing opportunities to participate in the VIVO community among people with common interests.  Working groups operate under the oversight and direction of the VIVO Steering Group, and are advised by the VIVO Community at large. The working group chairs meeting monthly with the VIVO Steering Group to discuss activities, issues, opportunities, plans, and needs. Anyone, even if you are not a VIVO Member, is invited and encouraged to participate in the VIVO Working Groups.

The VIVO Working Groups:

  • Share work of community members

  • Plan events;

  • Coordinate with other projects, tool developers, and partners;

  • Engage with other projects and experts on key issues and opportunities for the VIVO community.

  • Apps and Tools Working Group - Chris Barnes, University of Florida, Chair, Ted Lawless, Brown University, Co-Chair. Calls are held monthly on Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m. ET.   • Development Working Group - Jon Corson-Rikert, Cornell University, Chair, and Jim Blake, Cornell University, Co-Chair. Weekly calls are held jointly with the Implementation Working Group (next below)

  • Implementation Working Group - Alex Viggio, Symplectic, Chair, and Paul Albert, Weill Cornell Medical College, Co-Chair. Calls are held weekly on Thursdays at 1:00 p.m. ET.
