Developers / DCAT Meeting before OR15 on Mon, June 8, 2015
Face-to-face developer's meeting on topic of the DSpace RoadMap at OR2015 in Indianapolis.Who is invited?
- All Committers,
- All DSpace Community Advisory Team (DCAT) members,
- Any other interested DSpace developers or technology-savvy individuals
If you don't fall into one of the above categories, you are still welcome to attend. However, be warned that discussion will likely get very technical at times (which is why we recommend you be a developer or have a technology background).

Format of Meeting
This meeting will be organized as a group discussion. Although at times one or more of us may lead discussion sections, it is meant to be a group discussion and not a series of presentations.
Please feel free to add your own ideas for meeting topics. Based on the number of topics and time available, we may need to reschedule some topics for a virtual meeting.
- Discussion of Strategic Planning activities in progress by Steering Group and other working groups, including..
- DSpace 2015-18 Strategic Plan for Technology (in progress)
- DSpace 2015-16 Technical Roadmap (in progress, and based on the Use Case Analysis and above Strategic Plan for Technology)
- DSpace 6.0 Planning:
- set the timeline (PR deadline, feature freeze, final release date)
- discuss any anticipated "big changes" and ask for estimates on when they'll be ready for testing
- conscript/gather volunteers for the 6.0 RT
- Compare notes on any integration or acceptance testing work under-way (see DS-2288 and DS-2397)
