A possible way forward

  • Community access to the core: major rewrite of profile pages
    • Specification of profile data, including that retrieved by custom data getters and list views.
    • Freemarker templates driven by the data spec
    • JSON API drive by the data spec.
    • A major effort: first guess, 3 months
    • A major step forward in data visibility
    • A major reduction in technical debt.
    • Data specification includes limited display (e.g., max 5 publications) and extended display (e.g., expand to all publications.)
