Discussion items

  1. New JIRA workflow -- includes “Received” and “In Review.” No longer includes “Resolved.”

    1. Tickets do not automatically open.  They are marked “Received” to start.

    2. Once there’s a pull request, the ticket is marked “In Review.”

    3. Tickets previously marked as “Resolved” have been moved to “Closed”

    4. You may enter a ticket, assign it to yourself, and mark it as Open, and then “In Progress” when work begins.

  2. Tickets “In review”

    1. Suggestion:  Two reviewers, one of which is a committer, neither of which is the author review and approve.  With two reviews, the pull request can be committed.

    2. Options for committer.

      1. Click “Merge”

      2. Click “Squash” and “Merge” to get the commits into one commit and then merge.  This might be the default.

      3. Surgically combine some commits into groups, merge groups

    3. Jim: Squash commit is useful for backing things out.

    4. Author might put a note in if there is a reason to keep the commits separate

    5. Unable to locate Jira server for this macro. It may be due to Application Link configuration. -- Jim, and John to review

    6. Unable to locate Jira server for this macro. It may be due to Application Link configuration.  -- has been reviewed twice.  Can be committed?  The group suggested yes.  Benjamin offered to commit.

    7. Unable to locate Jira server for this macro. It may be due to Application Link configuration.  – Mike will review, it might duplicate 1409

    8. Unable to locate Jira server for this macro. It may be due to Application Link configuration.  -- Brian, Kitio to review

    9. Mike and Andrew will review permissions in the repos to support reviewers.

      1. #1 weeks of April 23rd and 30th -- Javed will lead, supported by Ralph and Kitio
