Notes

Draft notes on Google Drive

  1. Vivo.owl ontology no longer resolvable on vivoweb.org
    1. Fix needs to go through Lyrasis folks
    2. Where is the vivo.owl file? Probably still on the web server somewhere
  2. VIVO/pull/3775 - malformed tag in js file in i18n redesign
    1. Tag has been messed up for many years
  3. Dragan has finished working on the VIVO release publisher
    1. Will be tested with next release
  4. Planning to reorganize i18n files
    1. Move into primary VIVO and Vitro repos
    2. One option - add i18n module (directory) and content is the same as currently exists in Vitro-languages repo, but with a slight mod to pom.xml
    3. Another option, more similar to the old method
    4. We are hoping that webapp (within i18n dirs) will go away, and all language files end up within the ‘home’ directory.
      1. Michel objected because it was wrong in some instances in French
      2. The plan is make the sentences generic enough that they aren’t problematic in (almost) any languages
      3. Committers response - if it’s important it should be in their own templates, it’s too much work to invest for little benefit for most
  5. Our .war release does not include 18n files
  6. Dragan may create two pull requests for the i18n re-organization, one with each method.
  7. Georgy: should I create a new pull request for every form I work on?
    1. Dragan: no, it’s too many
  8. Looking for some review on spanish language submissions
    1. Who can review english canadian? Michel, perhaps? Or somebody else at UQAM?
  9. There are a handful of very old pull requests remaining.
    1. If anybody has free time, please review and determine if they can be closed
