  2. Governance and Structure.  Is meeting weekly on Thursdays at 11 AM US Eastern.  The group sent a community survey about VIVO governance. The survey has closed and Daniel is writing a narrative to summarize results.

The group recently defined a preliminary data model and is discussing ways to provide a GraphQL instance for community testing.
  4. Community Development.  Is meeting monthly.  We've been talking about defining discussing how to define our subcommunities, and we have devised four primary use cases for implementing/supporting VIVO.
  5.  Resources.  Is meeting bi-weekly. In the last meeting, Erin talked about the SCOSS funding opportunity and the group discussed possible ideas for funding. The preliminary application was submitted last week by Erin and Carol Minton Morries. Contact Terrie Wheeler for details.

  4. Ontology Task ForceOntology.:  Group is meeting every two weeks, led by Mike Conlon.  Current work in two areas: 1) identifiers and attributes of identifiers such as ORCiD, DOI, GRID, ISSN; 2) languages, language skills, and languages of scholarly works.

  2. David Wilcox of Duraspace has joined the VIVO Membership Task Force to provide guidance and support.

  4. Camp at Columbia had six participants.  Our costs were low – Columbia provided space and refreshments. Travel costs for instructors were low due to location and support of Clarivate.
  5. Mike attended the Metadata for Machines workshop at GoFAIR headquarters in Leiden.  The group is working to incorporate FAIR metadata into standard processes in scholarship.  A pilot has been started to use VIVO, CEDAR, and a DMP tool to provide a simple workflow for the submission of grants.  VIVO will partner with several groups on the pilot.
